This week my mum and I finally booked that trip to Rome I was talking about! We’re both so excited, but my friend’s warned me that when her friend went a few months ago the Trevi fountains were closed. I’ll have to hope it’s open by August because I won’t hear the end of it otherwise!
One of the people I work with is off to Australia for a few months before she comes back to go to university after summer, so she had a little farewell party. We went to Prezzo, and I had a Vesuvio pizza which is pepperoni, and either hot chillies or sweets chillies (although I decided against chillies today.) I got to spend most of the day with Jess too which was awesome.
This Tuesday and Thursday there were the two semi-finals of Eurovision ahead of tonight’s final. I’ve always loved Eurovision, my mum and dad have always loved it too- the wacky performances and the pure cheese, the hosts, and, until recently, the progressively more drunk Terry Wogan. Having lived in Europe for the vast majority of my life I really feel a sense of community watching Eurovision, although I never know who to support! There may or may not be a Eurovision-related post coming tomorrow. (Okay let’s face it, there will be.)
Music: Taylor Swift
This week Tay-Tay dropped the hotly-anticipated music video for her new song, Bad Blood. There’s a whole host of badass female cameos, including, but not limited to, Ellen Pompeo, Cara Delevigne, Jessica Alba, and Taylor’s bestie, Karlie Kloss. I wrote a post about how 1989 is one of my favourite albums earlier in the week, too, and Bad Blood is one of my favourite songs from the album so I was really excited for this music video and it definitely lives up to the hype!
Hope you’ve all had a lovely week!
