Four For Friday

Four For Friday #21

Four… Career Paths I Used To Want To Pursue

1) Ballet Dancer

I think quite a large number of young girls (and maybe a lot of young boys too!) wanted to be ballerinas when they were growing up. I feel like it’s kind of a phase a lot of people go through. Naturally after like four ballet lessons I realised I am not an athletic type. These days my dance moves have a lot more grace. And usually involve a lot more alcohol.

2) Astrologer

I’ve always loved the stars and planets and everything to do with space. I even wanted to be an astronaut at one point. So I used to tell people I wanted to be an astrologer! I wanted to study the stars and talk about planet movements and all of the moons and everything… Right up until someone pointed out that actually, astrology is the one to do with star signs. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always been interested by that too, but it’s not what I meant.

3) Astronomer

So obviously I corrected myself. No explanation needed. I still have loads of astronomy books all over the house!

4) Rapper

Source
I used to really like rap music, like I would spend ages learning the lyrics to be able to rap along. These days it’s something I can pick up really easily. One of the things that gives Louise loads of joy when we’re out anywhere is when a rap song comes on and I instantly change into a different person as I rap every single word. This happens most with either Gold Digger by Kanye or I’m On A Boat by The Lonely Island. People really love it when I rap, I just need to figure out if they’re laughing with me or at me..!
