My Little Box

My Little Magic Box – December

dec box

It’s the last My Little Box of 2015 and, as you would have come to expect by now, they’re ending the year in style. This month’s theme is magic, which is perfect for the festive season! The quote sticker was ‘magic is something you create,’ which I think is great, it’s really in keeping with the creative nature of MLB.

The postcard said ‘This box is Magical, do you know why?’ and told you to turn it over to find out why. Turns out, they managed to create an app which shows the little characters on the front having a little dance to Shut Up And Dance by Walk The Moon (a definite song of the year). Here’s a screenshot, I couldn’t get the characters to dance but the Eiffel Tower’s lights twinkled which was cute!

The lifestyle pieces this time around included a little pot of Kusmi Tea (£13.10 per 125g) which came in two flavours, Anastasia black tea, or the one I received, which was Imperial Label blend. Unfortunately both of these pots had citrus flavours (Anastasia contained lemon and orange blossom; Imperial Label contained lemon) so I can’t drink it, however I’ll probably give it to my Aunty who’s really into her tea. There were also a cute pair of fingerless gloves which converted into mittens, and the make up bag, which was very cute. Both are available from mylittlecorner.fr for £10 and £6, respectively.

1) Melted Liquid Long Wear Lipstick by Too Faced, £19 for 12ml. The colour I received was Melted Fuchsia, I’m not sure if there were any other colours sent out to other subscribers. The applicator was one of the little fuzzy precision ones, and it went on very smoothly. It’s not a colour I’d normally wear but mum said it suited me. It claims to be super long-wearing, too, which is always a good thing!

2) Touch Of Happiness Body Cream by Rituals, £17 per 200ml. This body cream was either sent out in Magic Touch, Honey Touch, or Touch Of Happiness. I received the latter, which, annoyingly, contains Sweet Orange, so I guess I’ll have to give it to my mum. It does smell nice though, so it’s a shame.
3) Vice-Versa Nail Polish Duo by My Little Beauty, £7. This is more like it, I absolutely love nail polish, and I’ve been trying to decide what colour to paint my nails for the festive season for ages. These two nail polishes are a dark blue, called Night, and a glittery gold, called Sparkling. I hope they go on smoothly, sometimes glittery nail polishes can look quite gappy.

I’m pleased with how this box has turned out after the disappointment from the past couple of months, this has ended the year really well!
