This Friday, Panic! At The Disco’s new album, Death Of A Bachelor, was finally released! I’ve been listening to it pretty much non-stop since then. If you used to be a fan of their old stuff but aren’t too keen on their more recent things, you would probably enjoy this album. There’s a couple of songs which sound like they wouldn’t be out of place on A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out!
On Saturday, Louise and I had planned to go out for cocktails, but then around 2pm it actually started to snow… So we quickly decided instead that we’d have a movie night at her house. I made some of my cookies which Lou said were better than Millie’s – I think she was just being nice. We watched The DUFF which Lou had seen before and kept telling me I had to see it – she was right, it was a brilliant movie.
Fast & Furious 8
Also on Saturday Vin Diesel released a teaser photo for the new Fast & Furious movie. Louise and I actually watched part of Fast & Furious 6 so I found it pretty cool! I love the franchise – but having said that, I’m not sure how it’s going to be without Paul Walker. I’m sure it’ll still be good, but it’ll be sad without him at the same time.
Two Devastating Deaths
This week we lost two legends, David Bowie and Alan Rickman. I grew up listening to all the stuff my parents listened to, with David Bowie being no exception. I couldn’t believe it when I got the news notification. I’ve chosen Heroes because it’s just an inspiring song and that’s exactly what David for the world. He inspired, he innovated, he simply wowed. RIP Ziggy Stardust.
I am a self-described Potterhead and I still love the Harry Potter movies at age 24. Alan Rickman is obviously a huge part of that. I’ve chosen one of my favourite scenes from his time as Snape. His comedic timing was perfect and by all accounts he was the type of person you could contact and whatever he was doing he’d get back to you within the day, and I really got that vibe from him. RIP Alan Rickman.
