Things From The Week #26

The Next Elle Woods?

I can finally tell everyone that exciting news I’ve been holding in since December – I’m going to law school! It’s something I’ve been considering ever since I graduated from my Bachelor’s degree in 2013, and now it’s finally happening. The GDL (Graduate Diploma in Law) is sort of like a one year conversion course for people who already have one degree. After that I would have to do another one year course to be an actual lawyer! It’s very exciting!

Music – Good Things & Bad Things

This week’s been a mixed one for music. Firstly A Day To Remember went on Beats Radio to play their new song Paranoia, which is awesome, but then Motion City Soundtrack announced they were going on an indefinite hiatus. I’ve loved MCS my whole life, so it’s very sad that they’re splitting but they have been going for 19 years so I understand!

J’ai Treize Chats… Really, Thirteen?!

I’ve been using DuoLingo to brush up on my French, I’ve got a long way to go but I need to be able to speak it semi-fluently if I want to continue down the career path I’m planning. I’ve always been able to speak it on a basic level but I chose Spanish at GCSE instead, so I don’t have much of a formal eduction of the language. But I find learning languages quite easy thankfully, so I’m picking it up.

Fuller House

Apparently my mother doesn’t remember watching Full House way back when, but I do, and I was really excited when they announced they were doing a reboot! It stars all the old cast members (except the Olsen twins) and it’s just as good as the original series used to be. The season is only 13 episodes long and I watched the whole thing this week, and now I’m feeling a void. Anybody have any suggestions of what to watch next?!

Cheers Kev!
