Pitch Perfect is a musical comedy which came out in 2012 and follows budding DJ Beca (Anna Kendrick) navigate her way through university life, badly. Eventually she makes a pact with her dad and ends up joining the Barden Bellas after Chloe (Brittany Snow) overhears her singing in the showers. As it turns out she gets really into being a part of a group and starts to love performing.
When Pitch Perfect first came out I had actually won advance screening tickets, I really loved it so much, that when I got home I checked when the DVD was out and noticed it was already out in the US so I ordered it from US Amazon. I didn’t really know what to expect but I honestly did love it straight away. It took my friends some convincing, though, but they learned to love the cheesiness. The sequel is amazing too, and even features a Fall Out Boy song at one point – it was fun when that came on in the packed cinema on PP2 release day. So many funny looks.
Not only is this movie hilarious but it’s also extremely sing-along-able, and there are so many acapella related puns (see above) that Pitch Perfect has firmly lodged itself up in my top favourite films of all time.
